Be careful who you purchase this from. The instructions clearly show that 2 ink cartridges are supposed to be in the box. Our 2 printers ordered from "top deals" included no ink cartridges. Buying them costs $61 at Staples. We returned those and purchased from another seller and the ink cartridges were included.

Does not come with a USB cable and is not wireless. It also does not have FAX capability. It was just what I wanted for a simple printer. It was easy to set up and I like the ability to make color, or black and white copies without a separate scanner. It slow and noisy but I can live with that. The ink seems pricey, but we will have to see how long the ink lasts. So far, we are still using the trial ink cartridges.

This is to confirm that the Canon MG2522 printer I ordered on 1/17/2021 (and which was happily delivered the next day) did indeed come with a PG-245 Black Ink Cartridge and a CL-246 Color Ink Cartridge; It also came with a 3' long USB cord. Also, FYI, when I hooked up the printer to my Windows 10 laptop, and powered on the printer, the Windows operating system immediately recognized the printer and automatically and quickly installed all the drivers. Easy Peasy, Badda Bing Badda Boom. I have only had the printer a few days, but it seems to work exactly as expected. So far, so very good.

Even for the price, this printer is a piece of junk! I bought this printer 2 months ago. From the first day, it fed multiple pages. If you wanted to print one page, it fed five sheets. If I got 50 pages from the black ink cartridge, I was lucky (plenty of color ink left) The black cartridge costs as much as the printer. After only two months operation and about 50 pages, the printer stopped working altogether. It showed a paper jam error and there was no paper in the machine. I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and it still showed a paper jam. To collect on the warranty I would have to ship it back to Canon. The cost is not worth it! This is not the first Canon printer I have had, but it will be the last!
